Drs. Angela and Michael Axelrod both are Licensed Psychologists. Dr. Angela Axelrod focuses primarily on assessment and diagnostic services. Dr. Mike Axelrod's work is primarily focused on counseling, parent training, and consultation.
We primarily serve children and young adults, though we also provide evaluation services and counseling for adults of all ages. Our office is located within Grow Space Pediatric Therapy at River Prairie — a warm, welcoming space designed with younger clients in mind. Adult clients should feel right at home, and we appreciate your understanding of the child-friendly environment!
Our psychological assessment services specialize in learning disorders and conditions typically first identified in childhood, such as dyslexia, ADHD, and related learning disabilities. Our evaluations are best described as targeted and focused — designed to answer specific diagnostic questions efficiently and thoroughly, rather than as a fully comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation.
For concerns involving significant mental health conditions, adult disability determinations, personality disorders, or other complex presentations, a full neuropsychological evaluation may be more appropriate. In those cases, we are happy to discuss your needs and recommend that you consult your physician for a referral to a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation center.

Parents are guided in addressing common but potentially disruptive childhood concerns such as noncompliance, tantrums, toileting difficulties, sleep problems, picky eating, and childhood fears. Services emphasize collaborative problem-solving, parent coaching, and skill development to help families create positive, lasting change.
